Fulfilling St. THERESE’S love,  ‘I will spend my heaven in doing good on earth’ – is the motto realised in this school.

The school was started with just three blind pupil on the roll on January 14th, 1926. In the year 1973 it was upgraded to High School and later to a Higher Secondary School in the year 1989. Since 1979 the School function under the administration of the differently abled Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu. The strength of the School now has reached 200 Students with 50 teaching and non-teaching staff.

Visit of Helen Keller: Our school had the rare privilege of playing host to none other than legendary Helen Keller, who epitomized the struggle of Visually Impaired. She along with her tutor Anne Sullivan visited us in 1954.

Visit of King Baudouin and Queen Fabiola of Belgium: How fortunate we have been! Belgian royalty chose to visit us in 1964. They were moved by what they saw and thrilled with what our children were able to perform.

Visit of Ambassador of Belgium: In 1966 the Ambassador of Belgium visited us along with a television crew to make a documentary of our activities to showcase to the world the life and happenings at our school, and in the year 2014, present Ambassador of Belgium visited our School and honoured the Staff with  a memento for their excellence  of service.

Prime Minister- Late. Morarji’s Visit: In 1978, Little Flower school was thrilled  because the Prime Minister of India himself chose to visit our school and spend considerable amount of time with the children.

Bharat Ratna M.G.Ramachandran (MGR): The joy of our school and its children knew no bounds when charismatic Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu,  visited our school and spent time with our children talking and chatting with them. He was so thrilled by the experience that he announced a grant of Rs.50, 000/-, a princely sum those days for the welfare of the children.

Visit Of Our Former Chief MInister Dr.Kalaingar Karunanidhi And Former Central Minister For Information And Technology Mr.Dayanidhi Maran to inaugurate the First Pioneering Project Of Information Technology Centre For the Visually Impaired, In India.
